We test skin piercing jewelry in an accredited testing laboratory in Finland.

Laboratory testing will determine the possible release of nickel onto the skin and whether the jewelry parts being tested contain harmful substances banned by the EU.

The country of manufacture of the jewelry parts is China.

Since gold-plated parts are plated, the gold coating may wear off over time.  Wear away. Coating wear is a common characteristic of all plated jewelry.

The durability of gold plating depends on the jewelry's exposure to abrasion, scratches, cosmetics, sweat, and moisture. Therefore, it is difficult to estimate how long the coating will remain in good condition on your particular piece of jewelry.
